In addition to offering camps on Lady Bird Lake in Austin, we offer fishing camps on Lake Georgetown – our Georgetown camps are the same as Austin, with the exception of Advanced Camp.
Over the course of the four-day camp, Hill Country Fishing guarantees that your camper will catch a fish.
Though you are welcome to send your camper with their own equipment, we also provide what they need.
In addition to teaching campers about the basics of fishing, we also want them to have a great time!
- Two days of learning at Berry Springs Park.
- Two days of guided fishing on Lake Georgetown.

We will provide campers with all of the gear they need (though you are welcome to bring your own as well), and snacks throughout each day.
We ask that you provide their lunch and water, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing. For clothing, we recommend water shoes, shorts that can get wet or a swimsuit, a hat, and a fishing or athletic shirt.
Yes – all of the fishing at Hill Country Fishing is catch and release in accordance with local regulations. However, we love to document camper catches by taking photos and featuring them in our Catch Gallery.
Yes – safety is one of our top priorities, always. We require all of our counselors and directors to be CPR certified, as well as having their boating license.
They types of fish your camper can expect to catch vary, but most often we see bass, bluegill, sunfish, catfish, and gar.
