We offer several four-day fishing camps, where campers will fish on Lady Bird Lake in Austin. Our team of experienced counselors and directors will ensure that your child receives a fun, highly educational experience this summer!

Location

- Two days of learning at Texas Trail Rides.
- Two days of guided fishing on Lady Bird Lake.

Small Mouth Camp

This camp is for 2nd-5th graders, and the objective is to develop a love and competency for fishing and outdoor life.

Largemouth Camp

This camp is for 6th-8th graders who want to spend a day on the lake fishing, learning, and exploring the outdoors.

Advanced Camp

Our Advanced Camp is for campers in 6th-9th grade who have taken part in a camp before or have more experience fishing.

Guided Excursions

Our Guided Excursions take you to the best fishing spots in the Texas Hill Country with expert instruction.

Frequently Asked Questions

Discover some of the most commonly asked questions about our Austin fishing camps.

Hill Country Fishing will provide your camper with everything they need in terms of fishing gear.

We ask that you provide sunscreen, lunch, and water, as well as appropriate clothing. We recommend water shoes, shorts that can get wet or a swimsuit, a hat, and a fishing or athletic shirt.

While we are not allowed to send your camper home with their catch (all fishing we do is catch and release), we will be sure to take a picture of them with their catch!

All of our counselors and directors are CPR certified and have their boating license.

Our goal is to ensure that your camper has an amazing time with us, as well as ensuring their safety at all times.

The fish we catch most often in Lady Bird Lake include bass, bluegill, sunfish, catfish, and gar.
